Each modeling session starts with a consultation (via phone, email, DM or text) where we envision and design your shoot together based on your particular set of wants & needs. We’ll work together to pick perfect locations and to design logistics so that you don’t have to worry anything but being yourself, having fun, looking and feeling great! Consent is the foundation on which we build our relationship from the very start of our collaboration, through delivery (and even through the posting of photos) so that the safety and strength of the container that we create can help you to activate your highest potential!

Live Event & Photojournalism
Telling a story in a single photograph or a set of photographs is one of my greatest strengths. Understanding the moment, the people and the context of a gathering is key to making sure that anyone who didn’t attend an event in person understands what happened there. And including photos with your media releases or social media posts gives you (or any attendee or photo subject) an opportunity to amplify a message, effectively up-leveling a one-off event into a valuable step forward in an initiative or movement. With courage, sensitivity, situational awareness, grace and integrity, I’ll document the scene and people in it, delivering a set of photos that look and feel like really being there.

There’s perhaps no other business or profession that relies more heavily on beautiful photography and strong social media presence than the yoga, health & fitness industry. From yoga modeling to instructors, to trainers, to gyms & fitness centers, to fitness clothing brands and athletes, great photos will undoubtedly help you gain traction in your field and to sell your services. In a gym or fitness center, photos of your members and trainers decorating your walls go a long way to making your space look and feel like a community.
Yoga, Health & Fitness photography is all about capturing that divine moment of the day or of a week when the stress & anxiety of work and of everyday life fade away and when physical acts bring folks into a completely present and embodied state of self love. Capturing people in this moment, in this state is my goal when shooting in this genre. In group fitness contexts, we work together to preface the idea of having a photographer in your space and we garner consent (and signed waivers) from anyone featured in a given shoot.

As an athlete, a coach and athletic administrator, I spend most of my time around athletes and coaches, teams at practices, games, matches and meets. And as a photographer who seeks to capture people truly ‘in their element’ and who believes strongly in the power of sport to bring complete presence and alignment to an individual, my work with the camera in the genre of sport is a natural fit.
I work with athletes, teams and athletic programs to produce content that will help promote, communicate about and celebrate their time on the field of play. Whether it’s social media, yearbook, newsletter or print publication content, a framed photo or shared album, I aim to create beautiful, dynamic and powerful images of athletes that help to move individuals, teams and programs forward.

Capturing the energy of a room and the people in it is one of my greatest strengths as a photographer. Whether you’re looking for behind the scenes stills from a music video shoot, content to add to fliers, a full album of photos to distribute and share with your guests or you’re looking to let folks know just how it feels to come out to one of your events, my goal in Nightlife, Music, Parties & Fundraiser photography is to capture the very essence of what it felt like to be out, vibing an mingling in the space you created. Community & Non-Profit
Donating or offering discounted photography services to my community and to causes, organizations and groups whose values align with mine is one of the must fulfilling parts of my work in photography. Whether it’s a community event, a protest, rally or demonstration, a live event, a fundraiser or just shooting any genre of photos that can help a non-profit or community-based organization to further its cause, I always hold a certain percentage of my working hours (based on what’s sustainable to me at a given time) to either donating my photography work or to offering it at a greatly reduced price.
While I am willing to consider any do-good organization, given our current cultural climate and as a person of white skin, I am deeply passionate about supporting groups and organizations comprised of (or serving) those who have been -and who are currently- disenfranchised, disempowered or discriminated against by the structure and culture of white supremacy in America. I’m proud to serve people and organizations working on our conscious evolution, on promoting equality and social justice.

Dynamic Photo Booth
The ‘Dynamic Photo Booth’ is an original creation of Stephen Flynn Photography. Instead of a classic photo booth (with a camera and a set frame that takes a number of consecutive shots on a timer) I set the scene at an event or party and folks come by either solo or in groups to do a scene/mini photo shoot. Think ‘red carpet shoot’ meets the photo studio!
During my short time together with each subject or small group, I do my very best to make people as comfortable as quickly as possible and to bring out the best of each person or group so that in moments when they’re looking and feeling their best, they can see just how beautiful they really are!

Family Portraits & Candids
Family portraits and candids are a great way to capture the growth and happiness of your family and of each individual therein, and the special relationships that exist between parents and kids. In my opinion, a great family portrait session should not just produce great, high quality images of every individual, specific pairings and of the entire group, but it should be super fun for everyone involved.
Like portraiture and modeling shoots, the design of Family Portraits and Candids is a collaborative effort. We hop on the phone to figure out how many members of your family will participate, what sort of aesthetic & energy you’re going for and to help me understand the personalities of your group so that we can design the perfect shoot for you and your group.
With 23 years of experience coaching and 12 years in education and youth development, I’m super comfortable around kids and they’re super comfortable around me… and happy kids are the key to a great shoot, to producing beautiful images and to fun for everyone invovled.
